I was sitting outside in my back yard looking at the carpet of beautiful green grass there sat a dormant pen on

the table. It was aching for me to pick it up. I wrote a few words that turned into sentences, into paragraphs, into

full pages, and I realized writing was my salvation, and a novel was born.
